Fun novel-like true story!
Book shopping sometimes happen without any plans and deep consideration. It is the only shopping I do impulsively time to time. It is my way of going on a treasure hunt just like a little child shopping for a toy. I got the book this way out of pure curiosity. I wanted to know what’s really happening in her life and she even wrote a book about it.
It is a novel-like true story! It makes you laugh and hug your teddy bear for extra comfort. You nod because you can relate what’s really happening. You will appreciate where you are in life. You will be glad you have some of the similar experience as the author. You will be also glad you have not gotten some of the things that she describes. The book is about life in a funny tone even on serious stuff. We all have our own moments. We need this type of humor. If you are a “serious” type of person, please try the book to find humor in yours.
It is a light read but packed with lessons. You will read her life events as youth, teen, young adult, girlfriend/boyfriend, young lover (so sweet and innocent), wife/husband, joker, tricker (I hate this in real life but fun to read), student, worker, daughter/son, friend, neighbor, sick person, healthy person and many others.
Please let me know which part you can relate the most. I own older version of the book with rooster on the cover. This newer version is nicer with bonus essay.
Fun Fact: This author worked at BuzzFeed as a senior writer and this is the only book she wrote.
(Book reviews may and may not be sponsored. I only review books I read, enjoyed and relevant to my posts.)
I really want to read this book. Thanks for the nice review.
I would not share any books that I did not enjoy myself. I loved the funny tone of her writing. It is a story about a lady but anyone can relate to her in human level. I am glad you are interested. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I’m usually more of a non fiction reader, but I am intrigued!
