my bucket list for the new year 2024

If I pick one of the best skills to get my goals met, it is writing them down. Out of sight, out of mind! You need something to remind you. This also helps to expand the ideas. It can be a simple note, part of journals, bucket list and vision board. I have all of them. I would like to share my vision for next year without great details. I will build on great details as things progress. Share yours! It does not have to be perfect. Let’s make a commitment to each other to make an exciting, rewarding and memorable 2024. We can check back how many of them we can cross it out at the end of the year.

1.Practice gratitude daily

I already started to take gratitude practice to the next level. What’s changed from usual practice is that I “feel” more and write them down in more specific and detailed ways daily. Writing helps me to process my thoughts and feelings. It works for me. I believe setting the expectation will bring a lot of goodness into my life and affect others in my life as well.

2. Count my blessings

Throughout the days, I will have a habit of counting my blessings. This is related to practice gratitude but I do not have to pause or write. I catch the moments of blessings. It does not matter how little or big. They are all blessings at the end!

3. Driven by love

I love every person I met. I bless everyone in my life. I love everything I do. I love my work. I love my life. I do a lot of things I love such as reading, writing, blogging, painting, crafting, walking in nature, trying more simple recipes, going to book fairs, homemaking, etc. I love homemaking as I am older. It does not feel like choirs anymore. It is very rewarding and satisfying.

4. Savor my days to the fullest

Every day is a gift. I work, raise family, pursue things I love and everything between. I do not take it for granted. I “get to” do them all. I am having the best human experiences on this planet. I greet every morning with open arms and truly enjoy them feeling blessed.

5. Timeless fun: Stress-free mini monthly getaways

I used to have an adventure day with my boy each Sat. It was a way to spend the quality time with him as a working mom. Two of us looked forward to Sat! We would venture out somewhere fun like indoor gyms, outdoor parks, playdates, new restaurants in town, movies, etc. We had this tradition for about 3 years and then pandemic came. We had to stop it.

I would take this back for once every month! It takes effort to plan but it will be so worth. I love little stress-free getaways. There are many on my list, museums, interesting restaurants (we all love to eat), art studio, musicals, etc. This can be better than 1-2 big vacations a year. Happiness relies on frequency rather than size!

There are two weeks left for 2024. I am starting to work on them ahead of time. I am telling myself the expectations. I can’t be more excited about 2024. Good Luck preparing your Christmas with your loved ones. I will post a holiday greeting to everyone along with my winter fuzzy snowman painting next week. Stay tuned!
